I have been reading a number of books recently relating to succeeding in business and becoming financially free, and one common component of each of these are that, in order to become successful and financially free, you need a good team of people.  And in order to select a team of people, you need to identify what your own strengths and weaknesses are and select a team accordingly.  Not surprisingly, you cannot become successful if you surround yourself with people exactly like you (yet it’s extremely important that these people share the same values as you).

Do cartoonists (a relatively solitary hobby / occupation / business) require a team of people to be a success?  I think it would depend upon what your own view of yourself as a cartoonist is.  The way you see yourself will depend on what your beliefs are relating to needing a team.
