With the sad news of the passing of Michael Jackson last week came all sorts of rumours and stories relating to the singer’s spending habits. One such story included ‘Spiderman’, ‘X-Men’ and ‘Fantastic Four’ co-creator Stan Lee meeting with the King of Pop to discuss the purchase of Marvel Comics:
‘Jackson, who was an avowed fan of Lee’s work at Marvel, was reportedly interested and sat down with Lee and Paul to discuss the possibilities. Salicrup, who was also present, recalls Jackson saying to Lee, “If I buy Marvel, you’ll help me run it, won’t you?”‘
