Who created Batman? “Why that’s easy, it was Bob Kane.” you say. Well, you’d be mostly correct. “OK, wiseguy, it was Bob Kane and Bill Finger.” you respond. Again, you’re more correct than your initial response. BUt if you had responded Bob Kane, Bill Finger and a dash of every other comic strip artist around in the 1930’s you would be correct. Bobby Reed’s fantastic ‘Dial B for Blog‘ website has an extensive history of Bob Kane and the creation of one of the most famous characters ever created, from the inspiration for Batman, through to the ‘influences’ for many of the panels in Detective Comics #27.
