The New Zealand Herald has reported that the world’s largest Tintin comic book page is currently on display in the Grand Place in Brussels for the remainder fo the week. The page is 672 sqm and weighs 350 kgs. I was fortunate enough to visit the Grand place 2 years ago and found it very beautiful so to have a comic book page covering the square would certainly be a sight to see. If you have heard the news that Herge’s famous comic book character ‘Tintin’ is being made into a movie (and you were excited to see it) then you may need to wait a little longer. Universal PIctures have passed on the opportunity to make the movie because of the estimated 100 million dollar price tag, regardless of Directors’ Steven Spielburg and Peter Jackson’s eagerness to bring the character to the big screen.
